Inside Loop 820 we're usually 20–35 minutes door-to-door. Off I-35W between downtown and Alliance we average about 25 minutes because we keep a truck rotating that corridor. Do you jump-start hybrids and EVs like a Prius or Tesla?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hybrids have a small 12V battery separate from the traction pack and it dies exactly like a regular car battery — we jump the 12V terminals under the hood or in the trunk. On Teslas we can jump the low-voltage battery through the frunk terminals; if the whole car is dead we tow flatbed with the wheels off the ground.

Can you replace my battery on the side of the road?
