Roadside Problem
My Car Is Overheating
Temp gauge in the red? Pull over now — driving further can total the engine.
Typical arrival 20–35 min in Fort Worth
Do this right now
- Turn off the A/C and turn the heater to full hot (yes, in Texas). This pulls heat away from the engine.
- Pull over safely and shut the engine off.
- Do NOT open the radiator cap — it's under pressure and will spray boiling coolant. Wait, then call us.
What's usually going on
Low coolant (leaks), a stuck thermostat, a failing water pump, or a bad radiator fan. All of these need a shop, not a roadside fix.
How we fix it
We don't recommend driving an overheated engine. We can tow you to your preferred mechanic or a shop we trust in Fort Worth.
